People around the world have been great fans of movies right from the time in the’80s when the movie camera came into being. This is not a surprise as movies enthrall audiences and transport them into a world of wonderment and beauty that is quite incomparable. Movies of many genres and types are made around the globe and distributed for exhibition at movie theaters. Among movie theaters too you have various formats. You could have drive-ins, single screen or multiple screen theaters or multiplexes. Multiplexes are a rage around the globe and one would realize that that these take the movie watching experience on to an altogether different plane.
There are so many theaters now that are quite opulent and downright luxurious in look and feel. You almost feel like royalty when stepping into these specially designed and appointed theaters that make your movie watching experience such a pleasure. It is no surprise then that singles and couples, adults and kids like nothing better than to watch their favorite movies in the lap of luxury in these modern theaters. This also explains the fact that theaters have been able to re-invent and revamp their image in the minds of discerning consumers and buck the downward trend that had been seen initially after the advent of VCDs and DVD formats.
Part of the cinematic experience and delights of watching a movie are also derived from the joy of munching on snacks and sipping on cool and hot beverages in the theater. Cup holders are extremely convenient in such settings as these allow people to secure their cups without having to worry that the contents would spill out and cause a mess. When you have kids who are wont to be restless, the cup holders come in all the more handy.
There are many movie theaters that have pre-installed cup holders in chairs. Halls have cup holders in the arm rests or perhaps in the back of the seat in front. Some people also carry their own cup holders and attach it with simple Velcro fasteners on the seat in the theater.
There are a large number of theaters that do not have cup holders as yet. There should be a movement to encourage theater owners to install cup holders for the benefit of their patrons.
